Keep an eye on your vehicle's automatic transmission oil temperature and be on the alert for possible overheating or other potential transmission issues. Ideal for towing applications where the additional load can produce higher transmission oil temperatures.
The sender is most commonly mounted into the transmission oil pan using an in-sump adaptor. Alternatively mount into the HOT trans pipe using an inline T-Piece adaptor. Should the standard sender wire not be long enough, splice in an additional length of wire with a gauge NO GREATER than supplied loom wire. SAAS recommends <= 20AWG wire. Use of a heavier gauge wire or of too greater length will impact resistance and distort temperature readings.
